Physics Teacher (Intern position available)

At ACE, we build optimism as a first step to lifelong success.

Since 2008, ACE has launched and operated excellent charter schools in urban San Jose with one goal: our students, by the end of their time in ACE’s middle and high schools, will confidently choose to be the first in their family to attend and graduate from a four-year college or university.

We are looking for a High School Physics teacher to join our team! We prefer candidates with a valid California teaching credential. However, ACE Charter High School offers an internship program for qualified candidates to earn their credential while working at ACE.

The ACE Teaching Internship is a rigorous apprentice teaching experience. As a resident, you will work alongside a veteran ACE teacher, gradually taking on more teaching responsibilities as your skills develop. You will earn your CA teaching credential in partnership with the REACH Institute. After successfully completing your first year, you will have priority hiring for a lead teaching role at ACE Charter Schools.

Year 1: Full internship and teacher training from both ACE Mentor teacher and REACH professors. Pay for year 1 will be $23 per hour at approximately 40 hours a week. ACE pays all tuition and test fees
Year 2: Teacher of record for Science class with continual support from ACE Mentor teacher and Reach instructors. Pay for year 2 will be first year teacher at $53,300. Teacher Intern resident will pay for all tuition and test fees.
Year 3: Full teacher of record. Pay will be $54,900. BTSA training support will be provided and paid for by ACE
Full Medical and Dental benefits will be provided
